After scolding a 4 year old in my care the other night for giving me the attitude of a 14 year old.
Frank: Our future children will hate you when they’re teens
Me: *shrug* I’m ok with that.
For at least a brief amount of time, your kids will probably NOT be your biggest fans, no matter WHAT you do as a parent. I am SO not looking forward to that day, but am bracing myself, nonetheless.
I figure if I’m doing my job as a Mom, there well be times they don’t like me. I’m not their friend, I’m their Mom. I’m not looking forward to it, but it’s a reality.
And teens hate a lot of people.
